How Does Reflexology Work?

The feet are very smart. They can access every organ in the body. By using pressure techniques on the feet, the healing potential is activated.

Reflexology is a specialized form of compression which can assist the body in healing various ailments through the hands and feet.

The crystalline structure is broken down and the blockage dissipated. This all natural therapy eliminates toxins or poisonous substances from the body that can cause disease.

To do this, a reflexologist stimulates areas in the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet that correspond to internal organs. As in acupressure, he uses his thumb and fingers, applying deep pressure to specific points on the feet to relieve symptoms.

Through the stimulation of the circulatory and lymphatic systems, the toxins in the body are encouraged to release.

There are many physical problems that can be addressed by reflexology. Some of them are painful and stiff joints (knees, hips, shoulders, etc.), headaches and migraines, infections, colds and sinus. (To find other areas that can be helped look at the benefits.)

Pressure on certain reflex points sends signals that balance the nervous system and encourage circulation. Reflexology is a complementary therapy often used in conjunction with other treatments. It is a modality that always assists what you have in your own health regimen, bringing the body into balance.
